About this project

Community consultation is now underway for the Mobility Master Plan - a plan that will determine how London prioritizes transportation and mobility infrastructure, programs and policies for the next 25 years. To start, we want to learn about what it's like for you to move around the City - what are your choices, your challenges and what would make your trips better.

Co-host a workshop with us

This City is currently scheduling meetings with organizations and communities this spring to facilitate a discussion about mobility and transportation.

Public engagement and feedback are critical for the Mobility Master Plan. If your organization or community group would like to co-host a workshop with us and your members, please contact mmp@london.ca

Our requested time to ask our questions and facilitate an engaging conversation would be two hours with your organization, but we can adjust and customize our discussion based on the time you have available. The discussion would be facilitated by the City's Community Connectors and it would include an overview of the Mobility Master Plan. The Community Connectors will lead your organization through four activities to generate discussion and feedback about your needs and priorities. The City will be using your comments to help inform the plan’s development.

Vision statement and guiding principles

The Mobility Master Plan is being developed with the following vision statement and guiding principles.

Vision statement

"By 2050, Londoners of all identities, abilities and means will have viable mobility options to allow them to move throughout the city safely and efficiently, as well as providing connectivity to the region. The movement of people and goods will be environmentally sustainable, affordable, and supportive of economic growth and development."

Guiding principles

  • Environmentally sustainable: Take bold action to address climate change and design and move in ways that protect and enhance the natural environment.
  • Financially sustainable: Ensure mobility and its infrastructure is affordable for current and future generations.
  • Equitable: Recognize diverse mobility needs and embed equity into decision making to enable everyone to move through the city.
  • Healthy and safe: Promote and protect the physical, mental and social wellbeing of all and encourage active living.
  • Integrated, connected and efficient: Strengthen community and the economy with better access to people, places, goods and services as London grows.
