2020-2023 Multi-Year Budget

The City of London is once again undertaking a multi-year approach to the City’s finances as it develops the 2020-2023 budget, ensuring Londoners continue to receive services and programs they value.

In March 2016, Council approved the City of London’s first multi-year budget covering the four year period of 2016-2019. This type of multi-year approach allows for better alignment between the long-term goals of Council and the funding plans required to implement them, while the continued ability to amend the budget annually allows the City to maintain some flexibility. It also provides Londoners with a clearer picture of service areas and programs their property tax dollars support.

The 2020-2023 Multi-Year Budget will help put Council’s recently approved 2019-2023 Strategic Plan into action with support for the areas of focus in that plan.

To help clarify what a multi-year budget really is, we have uploaded a short video that should help.
