2026 Annual Budget Update
The 2026 Annual Budget Update is now underway. On October 27, 2025, the Mayor’s Tabled Budget will be released for Council’s Consideration, followed by a Budget Committee meeting on October 28, 2025. This marks the start of the public engagement period, when residents can review the budget and share their feedback before adoption. Below you’ll find key dates, events, other useful information, and ways to provide your feedback.

Key dates:
Monday, October 27, 2025 - Release of the Mayor's Proposed 2026 Budget
Tuesday, October 28, 2025 - Budget Release Presentation by Civic Administration and Mayor Morgan at 10 am
Tuesday, November 18, 2025 - Public Participation Meeting at Budget Committee at 4 pm
Thursday and Friday, November 20 and 21, 2025 - Budget Committee Deliberations starting at 9:30 am
Wednesday, November 26, 2025 - Special Council Meeting for Approval of Budget Committee Amendments to Mayor's Proposed Budget at 1 PM
Monday, December 1, 2025 - Mayor to Provide Intentions with Respect to Mayoral Veto of Council Amendments
Tuesday, December 16, 2025 - Council Approval of Overrides of Mayoral Vetoes (if required)
Pop -up Information Sessions:
The City’s Budget Team will be “popping up” and holding information sessions at various locations across the city prior to the budget public participation meeting. Find a location near you and stop by to connect with us! Please note that each pop-up location will contain the same information and materials.
