2026 Annual Budget Update

The City’s 2026 Annual Budget update has now been adopted as amended. On Monday, December 1, Mayor Morgan indicated that he would not veto Council’s amendments. The City’s budget document is now in process of being updated.

The Mayor’s Tabled Budget for Council’s Consideration can still be accessed. Agendas, minutes and meeting playback, including budget amendments from Budget Committee, which took place on November 20, 2025, and Council (November 26, 2025) can be found on the Council and Committee Meetings webpage.

Key dates:

Monday, October 27, 2025 - Release of the Mayor's Proposed 2026 Budget

Tuesday, October 28, 2025 - Budget Release Presentation by Civic Administration and Mayor Morgan at 10 am

Tuesday, November 18, 2025 - Public Participation Meeting at Budget Committee at 4 pm

Thursday and Friday, November 20 and 21, 2025 - Budget Committee Deliberations starting at 9:30 am

Wednesday, November 26, 2025 - Special Council Meeting for Approval of Budget Committee Amendments to Mayor's Proposed Budget at 1 PM

Monday, December 1, 2025 - Mayor to Provide Intentions with Respect to Mayoral Veto of Council Amendments

Pop -up Information Sessions:

The City’s Budget Team “popped up” and held information sessions at various locations across the city prior to the budget public participation meeting. Please note each pop-up location contained the same information and materials.
