West Lions Skate Park

About this project

The City of London is upgrading the existing skateboard park in West Lions Park, as part of the City’s Neighbourhood Parks Improvement Fund.

This project will better service the skateboarding community, while also providing improved seating and public gathering spaces in a very busy district park. The improvements will be modular pieces that add additional value to the existing skate park.

We are seeking input from youth and the surrounding neighbourhood throughout 2025, with the goal of finalizing a design and building the project in 2026.

West Lions Park is located at 20 Granville Street. The existing skate park was installed in 2002 and 2003. In addition to this neighbourhood level skateboarding facility, the park also contains sport fields (soccer and baseball), two full size basketball courts, a spray pad, playground, two swing sets, community garden, three BBQ’s and seating. The park is also situated beside Kinsmen Recreation Center and a large parking lot.
