Urban Design Awards

The Urban Design Awards return in 2025 to recognize, celebrate and inspire design excellence in London. Urban Design Awards are awarded to exceptional projects that represent visionary thinking and raise-the-bar for local design excellence.

Call for entries

The call for entries is now open. The awards celebrate and inspire design excellence while showcasing several local projects that represent the very best of local creativity and notable architecture.

Entries will be accepted until June 20, 2025, at 4:30pm.

Categories include:

1. Urban Design Plans
2. Urban Architecture
3. Urban Fragments
4. Civic Design Projects
5. People’s Choice
6. People’s Choice Student Project

The two People’s Choice categories involve London residents in the selection process, and submissions will be posted on the City’s website for public voting this year.

Award winners will be announced later this fall.

Urban design helps create an innovative and connected city through creative, engaging, and attractive architecture and design. The Urban Design Awards raises the bar on urban design in London by awarding projects that represent excellence, innovation and visionary thinking.

The awards take place every two years, and are intended to inspire developers, architects, landscape architects, planners and designers to advance excellence in their own projects.
