About this project

City Council approved a Neighbourhood Connectivity Plan for the Huron Heights area. As part of this plan, a new sidewalk is being built on one side of Tewksbury Crescent, between Perth Avenue and Sorrel Road.

Construction will resume in spring 2026. This new sidewalk will make it easier and safer for students and families to get to Evelyn Harrison Public School.

Work to be completed in Spring 2026

  • The remaining 300 metres of sidewalk will be installed.
  • Driveways and boulevards will be restored.
  • Sidewalk ramps for pedestrian crossings will be completed.

  • Any deficiencies from the work completed in 2025 will be rectified.

  • Snow removal will occur for the completed section of sidewalk.

Work already completed in 2025

  • Fire hydrant relocation.
  • Tree removals and stump grinding.
  • Approximately 170 metres of sidewalk were installed between Evelyn Harrison Public School and Sorrell Road.
  • Driveways were restored where the sidewalk was completed.
