London Clean & Green is a community campaign that has been promoting litter prevention and encouraging community clean-ups around Earth Day in London for over 30 years!

Thanks to your outstanding support, there were 215 planned community clean-ups between April 7 to April 18, 2026. That's the largest number we have had in recent years! Well done, London.

12 Days of Cleaning

Tuesday, April 7 – Saturday, April 18, 2026

• Clean & Green kicks off its annual campaign across the city. Whether alone or with friends, family or co-workers, we all have a part to play in keeping London clean and green.
• Clean-ups held during the 12 Days of Cleaning may be able to receive supplies or collection service – read our forms below for more information.

20-Minute Makeover

Friday, April 17, 2026

• Grab a bag and gloves and head outside your business, school, or home to pick up litter and help clean up our city. You’ll be amazed at what a difference 20 minutes can make!

Community Clean-up

Saturday, April 18, 2026 (9 a.m.- 12 p.m.)

• Plan your own clean-up event or join one planned in your area. The Clean & Green Community Clean-up has become the largest community-driven clean-up effort in London.
• Download and use our posters located in the "Document Library" to help promote your clean-up!

If you come across large furniture or bulky items during your clean-up, please report this to Service London.

Large furniture and “bulky items” are more than 1 metre wide and 1.5 metres tall. Examples include a couch, a mattress, or a large wooden bookshelf.
