About the project

The City of London is planning a construction project in your area to upgrade the Hyde Park Pumping Station. These upgrades will enable the station to accommodate increased flows associated with future development as well as from wet weather events, which are increasing in frequency and intensity.

Above: The map shows the project limits. The pumping station is located at 1439 Staffordshire Rd.

Proposed Work Details

  • Construction of a new second wet well
  • Installation of 4 new submersible pumps
  • Repurposing the existing pump station building as a valve chamber
  • Installing a new prefabricated building to house electrical equipment
  • Upsizing the existing generator, complete with a noise reduction enclosure

Transportation Impacts

No road closures are anticipated for this project. The pathway between Staffordshire Road and Hyde Park Road may need to be closed for short periods to accommodate construction activities. Residents may notice increased traffic from construction vehicles and elevated noise levels in the area. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience during this work.
