The City of London is hosting a public update meeting on January 22, 2026, to provide an update on the project and share information on construction.

Proposed Work Details:

Work to be completed as part of this road reconstruction project includes:

  • Replacing the asphalt roadway, including the granular base
  • Replacing watermain and water services
  • Adding a new sidewalk, curb, and gutter, and a cycle track along the east boulevard of Highbury Avenue
  • Replacing the existing cycle track on the west side of Highbury Avenue
  • Replacing and upgrading of traffic signals at Highbury Avenue and Kilally Road intersection
  • Replacement of existing streetlighting

Anticipated project timeline

This project is planned to be constructed in 2026 and is expected to take approximately 6 months to complete once construction begins. A more accurate timeline will be provided within the pre-construction letter that will arrive this spring.
