Friars Way and Doncaster Place Reconstruction

About this project

The City will be reconstructing Friars Way from from Annadale Drive to Wychwood Park to repair the road. Doncaster Place would also be reconstructed. Construction is expected to start in summer 2021 and anticipated to be completed by fall 2021.


Proposed work details

  • The full road would be removed and reconstructed
  • A new sidewalk would be constructed on the north side of Friars Way
  • A new sidewalk would be constructed on the east side of Doncaster Place
  • Catchbasins would be replaced
  • A new curb and gutter would be built
  • New asphalt would be placed
  • Some trees would be removed during this work, and new trees will be planted the following year by the City

The street would remain open to local vehicle traffic with a few possible disruptions to driveway access at different points in the project. Lawns will be restored at the end of the project with topsoil and sod.
