About this project
Foxfield District Park, located at 2384 Buroak Drive, will be upgraded with a new spray pad and washrooms, a full-size soccer field with lights, two additional pickleball courts, and rubber surfacing for the playground.
Pathway and parking lot improvements, additional lighting, and a shade structure are also included in the plans. Following public feedback received, additional site furniture, and more trees have been added to the revised concept plan.
Detailed design is in progress and concept renderings of the spray pad and shade structure are available to view.
Construction began in Fall 2023. Ahead of construction, some trees will be removed to allow for the new amenities and re-grading of the site. Over 100 new shade trees and shrubs will be planted at the end of the project.
This project received financial support from the Province of Ontario under the Strategic Priorities Infrastructure Fund Sport and Community Renewal sub-stream (SPIF-SCR).
