The Thames River is one of the longest rivers in Ontario and the total area draining into the Thames is the same size as Prince Edward Island. The City of London’s new interactive story map details London’s history and relationship with water and how we can grow as a city while still protecting water quality. View the interactive story map – which combines photos, stories and maps to create an engaging experience.

In London, we are adapting and preparing for changes to our water environment, including more extreme rainfall, hotter summer weather, and winter lake-effect snow from the open waters of Lake Huron. London’s Climate Emergency Action Plan aims to improve our City’s resilience to climate change impacts.
