About the project:
The City of London is planning to reconstruct Cherry Street to replace old underground infrastructure that has reached the end of its life. Construction will take place on Cherry Street, from Wilson Avenue to the east limit.
This project webpage includes important details about what work is happening, what to expect during construction, and how you can stay informed.

Above: The map below shows the approximate area where work will happen.
The reconstruction project includes:
- Replacing sanitary and storm sewers
- Partial replacement of private drain connections (PDCs)
- Sidewalk replacement
- New concrete curbs and gutters
- A fresh asphalt road surface
- Tree removals: Some trees within the City’s right-of-way need to be removed because they are unhealthy or in the way of planned construction. Once the project is finished, the City will look at opportunities to replace these trees and plant new ones along the street.
