Bradley Avenue Extension
In-person drop-in meeting
The City is hosting an in-person drop-in meeting for residents, businesses, and property owners to learn more as the Bradley Avenue Extension project moves into the construction phase.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 25 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the South London Community Centre Gemmel Room, located at 1119 Jalna Boulevard.
At the meeting, you can:
- View detailed designs of the planned road improvements
- Learn more about construction plans and timelines
- Ask questions directly to the project team
About this project:
The Bradley Avenue Extension Project will extend from Wharncliffe Road South to Jalna Boulevard and is expected to begin the week of June 23, 2025. The Bradley Avenue Extension Project will:
- Build a new four-lane road from Wharncliffe Road South to White Oak Road
- Upgrade Bradley Avenue from two to four lanes between White Oak Road and Jalna Boulevard
- Add in-boulevard bike paths, sidewalks, street lighting, and landscaping
In coordination, the White Oaks Tributary Complete Corridor (Phase 1) will also be constructed. This includes the creation of an open drainage channel with stormwater management and natural heritage features to support future development.
Once complete, this corridor will become a four-lane complete street with sidewalks, in-boulevard bike lanes, street lighting, and landscaping, supporting safer travel options and future growth in the area.

Proposed work details
Planned work as part of this project includes:
- Construction of a new four-lane road from Wharncliffe Road South to White Oak Road
- Widening the existing road to four lanes between White Oak Road and Jalna Boulevard
- New in-boulevard asphalt bike paths and concrete sidewalks
- Installation of new traffic signals at Bradley/Wharncliffe and Bradley/White Oak intersections
- Replacement and upgrades to underground infrastructure, including watermain and storm sewers
- Culvert replacement at White Oaks Drain.
- Stormwater management pond upgrades west of White Oak Road
- Construction of medians, curbs, and gutters
- Installation of new streetlighting
Construction impacts
This is a multi-year project, with major construction occurring through 2025 and 2026. Final surface asphalt and pavement markings will be applied in 2027.
Due to the limited road width, construction between White Oaks Road and Jalna Boulevard will be completed in stages. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction throughout this portion of the work. However, temporary, short-term lane closures may be required at times.
