Wortley Road Reconstruction

About the project

The City will be reconstructing Wortley Road from Briscoe Street East to Devonshire Avenue to replace and improve the quality and reliability of water, sewer and road infrastructure.

This project will include:

  • Replacement of watermain and water services
  • Replacement of sanitary and storm sewer
  • Partial replacement of existing sewer private drain connections
  • Sidewalk replacement
  • New concrete curb and gutter
  • Road reconstruction and new road surface

Construction is expected to start in spring 2021 and is anticipated to last until late-fall 2021 with some minor clean-up work in spring 2022.

Ongoing public engagement

The project team has recorded a narrated Project Update Meeting (PUM) for residents to learn about project details and property impacts. The video presentation has been split into three parts and can be accessed on the right-hand side of the page under "Project Update Meeting - Narrated Presentation."
