About this project

Windermere Road between Western Road and Doon Drive is a street that has a high amount of vehicle traffic which causes traffic congestion, especially during peak hours.

The lack of accessible features and active transportation infrastructure creates potentially undesirable conditions for road users. Community members have also expressed concerns about the pedestrian crossings in this area.

The City of London has begun an Environmental Assessment of the area to identify the needs of road users of all ages and abilities, including pedestrians, cyclists, public transit, and motorists

In addition, this study will assess the opportunity for an active transportation connection from Windermere Road to the Thames Valley Parkway.

The study area includes Windermere Road between Western Road and Doon Drive, as well as Richmond Street from Windermere Road to just south of the Thames River.
