About the project

Windermere Road between Western Road and Doon Drive is a street that has a high amount of vehicle traffic which causes traffic congestion, especially during peak hours. The lack of accessible features and active transportation infrastructure creates potentially undesirable conditions for road users. Community members have also expressed concerns about the pedestrian crossings in this area.

The City of London has started an Environmental Assessment of the area to identify the needs of road users of all ages and abilities, including pedestrians, cyclists, public transit users and motorists. This study will also assess the opportunity for an active transportation connection from Windermere Road to the Thames Valley Parkway.
