Proposed work details
- Curb and gutter replaced from Hyde Park Road to Hibiscus Avenue
- Replacement of all asphalt
- Removal of concrete road
- Replacing the watermain from East of Woodborough Street to Hibiscus Avenue
- Replacing some catch basins
- Replacing sections of sidewalk
- Replacing sections of curb
- Some trees have been removed in preparation for this work, and new trees will be planted the following year by the City
The street would remain open to local vehicle traffic with a few possible disruptions to driveway access at different points in the project. Lawns will be restored at the end of the project with topsoil and sod.
Access to the COVID-19 Assessment Centre will be maintained throughout construction. Commuters are advised to give themselves a little extra time when travelling to the Centre. For more information about the COVID-19 Assessment Centre, please visit the LHSC website.
