St. Anthony Road Reconstruction
About this project
The City will be reconstructing St. Anthony Road from Hyde Park Road to Hampton Crescent to repair the road. Construction is expected to start in summer 2021 and anticipated to be completed by summer 2022. Please note that sidewalks have been removed from the project and the street will be rebuilt without them.
This spring, you may see City staff in this area marking trees that are planned to be removed due to poor health or construction related issues.
Proposed work details
- The full road would be removed and reconstructed
- A new watermain from Hampton Crescent to Hartson Crescent would be installed
- Catchbasins would be replaced
- New fire hydrants would be installed
- A new curb and gutter would be built
- New asphalt would be placed
- Some trees would be removed during this work, and new trees will be planted the following year by the City
The street would remain open to local vehicle traffic with a few possible disruptions to driveway access at different points in the project. Lawns will be restored at the end of the project with topsoil and sod.
