About this project
The City will be reconstructing Paardeberg Crescent, Rhine Avenue and Flanders Row to replace aging infrastructure that has met its expected lifecycle.
This project includes:
- Watermain replacement
- Water service replacement to property line
- Sanitary sewer replacement
- Introduction of new storm sewers
- Partial replacement of existing private drain connections (PDCs)
- Decommissioning and removal of the sanitary pumping station
- Street light replacement
- Tree removals
- Introduction of new sidewalks on one side of Paardeberg Crescent, Rhine Avenue and Flanders Row
- Introduction of new concrete curb and gutter
- New asphalt road surface
- New green infrastructure (LIDs)
Construction is expected to start in spring 2023 and is anticipated to last until fall 2023 with some minor clean-up work and asphalt paving in spring 2024.
