About the project

The City of London is currently working on plans to improve the existing tennis courts in Kiwanis Park North, located at 612 Hale Street.

Replacing the existing tennis courts in the current location is not an option due to provincially regulated archaeological considerations. Additionally, the current location does not meet today’s requirements for proper spacing from private property lines.

To address these issues, there is an opportunity to restore the existing tennis courts with turf and construct new tennis courts – or a different type of sports court – east of the existing washroom building.

Share your feedback

The City of London is seeking your input as to what sports court your community would like to see in Kiwanis Park North. In the new location, there is an opportunity to construct either:

  1. Two tennis courts
  2. Three pickleball courts, or
  3. One full size basketball court

Please share your comments with us by completing this feedback form you can find below or by contacting the project coordinator directly: Angela Denomme at (519) 661-CITY (2489) ext. 5214, or by email at adenomme@london.ca. This feedback form closes at 4:30 p.m. on July 12.

Accessibility

Proposed pathways are considered a ‘Recreational Trail’ under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, and would meet all technical requirements for accessibility including minimum width, maximum slope, and head clearance space. As part of this project, the City of London is inviting feedback from residents with various disabilities on their specific needs regarding recreational trails and outdoor play spaces.

If you need information in an alternate format, or require the assistance of a communication support, please contact Angela Denomme at the City of London’s Parks Design and Construction Section by phone at (519) 661-CITY (2489) ext. 5214, or by email at adenomme@london.ca.
