Charles Street, West Lions Park, and Paul Street Infrastructure Renewal Project

About this project

The City of London is planning a construction project in your area to replace aging infrastructure that has met its expected lifecycle.

This project includes:

• Watermain replacement
• Water service replacement to property line
• Sanitary sewer replacement
• Storm sewer replacement
• Partial replacement of existing private drain connections (PDC)
• Stormwater channel remediation
• Tree removals
• Sidewalk replacement
• New sidewalks on Paul Street
• New pathway connection to Charles Street
• Concrete curb and gutter replacement
• New asphalt road surface

Construction is expected to start in April 2024 and is anticipated to last until November 2025.

Above: The map shows the project limits. Work is planned on Charles Street, from Mount Pleasant Avenue to West Lions Park, and through West Lions Park to Paul Street. Work is also planned at the Paul Street and Lorraine Avenue intersection. The project is intended to be constructed in two phases as outlined in the map.

Project update meeting
