About the project:

The City of London is planning to reconstruct Central Avenue between Elizabeth Street and Ontario Street in 2025 to replace aging underground infrastructure that has exceeded its expected lifecycle.

The work includes:

  • Watermain replacement
  • Water service replacement
  • Sanitary sewer replacement
  • New storm sewer installation
  • Partial replacement of existing private drain connections (PDC)
  • Streetscape improvements
  • Addition of cycling facilities
  • Tree removals (where required)
  • Sidewalk replacement
  • Concrete curb and gutter replacement
  • New asphalt road surface

Public Update Meeting:

The City of London is hosting a public update meeting on November 28, 2024, to provide an update on the project and share information on construction.

Please join the City of London for a drop-in event to view updated construction plans, review necessary tree removals, discuss impacts to your property and to learn more about the project.

Date: November 28th, 2024

Time: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Format: Open house

Location: Boyle Memorial Community Centre, 530 Charlotte St, London

Who should join: Anyone who lives, works, or owns property in the immediate project area, including nearby side streets, is invited to participate.
