Community Diversity and Inclusion is a priority for the City of London.

In May of 2019, the City of London started the implementation of the Community Diversity and Inclusion Strategy as a way to build a diverse, inclusive and welcoming community by supporting all Londoners to feel engaged and involved in our community.

As we continue to work on ensuring all Londoners have the services and programs they need to be engaged and active residents, it’s important to recognize the accomplishments of our Community Diversity and Inclusion Strategy (CDIS) Members over the last two year but also recognize that there is still lots of work left to do.

The CDIS leadership team is hosting the CDIS General Meeting. This virtual meeting will take place on Saturday, October 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. To register for this event, please visit: https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJMpdeqoqzoqE9L_oAEWsNeNqmM_0UsLcj4N

This meeting will be an opportunity to discuss topics such as how the needs of our community have changed, how we meeting the current and future needs of our community and how to work collectively with community partners to advance the work of the CDIS team. You will also have the opportunity to hear from community leaders involved in the CDIS implementation.

The Community Diversity and Inclusion Strategy

The Community Diversity and Inclusion Strategy (CDIS) was designed as a living document, one mean to be constantly modified to remain responsive to emergency community issues. The strategy is implemented and supported by a group of community volunteers and partners who give their time as members of a working group. The City of London provides support for this important group. Meet the Team

The current strategy was endorsed in principal by City Council in August of 2017 and the implementation efforts began in early 2019. The implementation was designed for a two-year basis with the intent to undergo evaluation at the end of the end of two year to ensure the strategy continues to meet the needs of the community.
