In 2019, the Argyle Business Improvement Area (Argyle BIA) requested that the City conduct a Community Regeneration Study for the Argyle area. This project will help the community and the City to determine the most appropriate tools and approaches to regenerate the area.

City Planning started this project in early 2020 to:

  • Develop a community profile and outline the development and regeneration efforts being undertaken in the Argyle area; and
  • Identify tools and initiatives that can be implemented to achieve both the City's and the Argyle community's priorities and goals.

City Planning staff will do a number of things including review development information, conduct site visits, review planning legislation and plans, consult with stakeholders, review regeneration approaches and assess the most appropriate ways for moving the Argyle community forward.

Please see the map below for the Argyle Community Regeneration Study area. The project boundary is depicted in black and the Argyle BIA boundary is depicted in red.
