About this project

The City is reconstructing Abbey Rise from Longbow Road to Scarlett Avenue to repair the road. Construction started in May 2021 and is anticipated to be completed by fall 2021. Please note that sidewalks have been removed from the project and the street will be rebuilt without them.

This spring, you may see City staff in this area marking trees that are planned to be removed due to poor health or construction related issues.

Proposed work details

  • The full road would be removed and reconstructed
  • Catchbasins would be replaced
  • A new curb and gutter would be built
  • New asphalt would be placed

The street would remain open to local vehicle traffic with a few possible disruptions to driveway access at different points in the project. Lawns will be restored at the end of the project with topsoil and sod.

For more information about trees and potential impacts, please view the narrated project update or contact the Project Manager.
