Planning for Supervised Consumption Facilities and Temporary Overdose Prevention Sites

The City of London has prepared a draft Official Plan and Zoning By-law regulations for Supervised Consumption Facilities and Temporary Overdose Prevention Sites which are now available for your review and comment.

Our goal through this process is to create policy and regulations for Supervised Consumption Facilities and Temporary Overdose Prevention Sites which achieve the following goals:

  • Plan for facilities in locations that can serve those who will use them
  • Plan for facilities to avoid land use conflicts
  • Design facilities to avoid stigma and promote safety

We are asking Londoners to review the draft Official Plan policy and Zoning by-law regulations approved by Council on January 30, 2018 and provide comment. Comments can be provided by email, phone, fax, mail or in person by attending the community meeting on March 21, 2018.
